    Marmite Cheddar Cheese Muffins

    From Mike Batho.

    • 270g plain flour
    • 3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
    • 1 teaspoon paprika
    • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper.
    • 50g cold butter
    • 1 large egg
    • milk (I used semi skimmed)
    • marmite
    • 130g grated strong Cheddar

Chuck the grated cheese, flour, baking powder & spices into the bowl of a food processor with the butter (or rub in by hand) & whizz up to make a crumb. Add the egg & whizz again. Add marmite (I used about a tablespoon) and a slosh of milk – whizz again. Add milk until the ingredients come together to make a stiff cake batter.
Grease a muffin tray (this should make about a dozen) and bake your muffins at 210 degrees for about 20 mins. Watch to make sure they don’t get too dark. Eat just warm.

Breakfast of Champions: The Manana Bagel

    from Stewart Lochrie

The perfect pre-work out snack. Stewart says that the beauty of his breakfast is the way the banana slightly melts with the heat of the toasted bagel, mixing with the Marmite.

    Ingredients

    • 1 onion or wholegrain bagel
    • 1/2 of a banana
    • Marmite

Take one bagel and slice in two so that it fits in a toaster. Put the bagel in the toaster and toast. Slice the banana into around 5 to 6 disc-shaped pieces. Once the bagel is toasted, spread some Marmite on the base side. Place your discs of banana on the Marmite . Place the other half of the bagel on top and eat as you would a burger.

    Enjoy!
